Installation Note 34717: The SAS® Migration Utility cannot use localhost in multi-tiered installations

An error will occur if the "SMU.host.metadata=" property is set to localhost on the metadata tier. The SAS Metadata Utility will write the following message to the console:
[WARN ] SMU Use of address 127.0.0.1 or host name localhost is discouraged. It will not work for multi-tiered installations.
The following error will be written to the migration analysis report on the middle–tier.
[INFO ] SMU SAS Migration Utility version 9.1.3-1.0 [INFO ] SMU Not metadata tier because server address : hostname.com/111.173.96.8 != this host address: hostname.com/111.173.96.9. [ERROR ] SMU The migration utility had an error: [ERROR ] SMU The metadata host or port in the manifest does not match the ones currently defined. Please delete the package and use the same metadata host and port for each tier.
To circumvent this problem, change property SMU.host.metadata=localhost to SMU.host.metadata= (the hostname of the Metadata server machine) in the following files:
\\drive\SAS Migration Utility\smu.properties \\drive\SAS Migration Utility\SMU_Packages\<machine>\smu.properties
